Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to All

We wish each and everyone a safe and happy holiday season.  Instead of worrying about what to buy for Christmas and Hanuka and Kwanzaa; enjoy time with your family and friends.  


     Our children had a sing-a-long to commemorate the season.  Here are some pictures of their performance for the classes. 

The Children sang songs as: Oh Christmas Tree,

Walking in a Winter Wonderland, 

Silent Night, 

Up On the Housetop, 

 

 

 

Jingle Bells, and The Twelve Days of Christmas to name a few.

Although we usually wear our RAVENS gear on Fridays, today the children could wear purple or red for our sing-a-long.

Take time to READ to your Children

Reading is more than just words on a page with pictures. 

 Reading gives your children a chance to hear your voice in several inflections.  Your children get to hear you talk excited, high pitched, low pitched, angry, scared, silly, in a funny tone, squeaky, deep and many more.

You get the picture.  As you read to your child, your facial expressions change also. As you read to your child or children, you get to explore places and see things you could only imagine. 

Reading helps a child to stretch his or her brain and see more than their usual surroundings.  

   So this week READ to your children and teach them       to imagine and see things they have never seen before.  

  


    Let them see you be silly and hear you change your voice and enjoy some good family time together.  

Successful Trike-A-Thon

Thank you to all of our parents and supporters who sponsored the children in the St. Jude Trike-A-Thon. Our children may not understand why they are helping, but they did a great job!!!  Many children suffering health challenges will be able to get treatment and many parents who cannot afford care are now able to get relief because of our generosity.

A New Arrival ~ Congratulations

Congratulations to Dante and family for the arrival of Baby Girl, Alexa.  Alexa was born on November 30, 2010 and weighed 6 lbs. and 5 ozs.  She and mom are said to be doing well and we can't wait to see her!!!

Trike-A-Thon for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

Our daycare center is participating in the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Trike-A-Thon.  Please give generously to help this established organization continue in the quest for a cure for cancer.  Use the link here to donate online.
