The Great Pumpkin Farm Trip!

This year as it has been for many years, we have visited Larriland Farm for our annual pumpkin trip. Here are some of the photos from the

trip. We had a mravelous day, weatherwise and everyone enjoyed themselves. Every child was able to take home a calabasa, the Spanish word for pumpkin.

Fire Prevention Week, pt. 3

The children are allowed to go through the fire truck and look around and were greeted by the firemen to get off. If your child is not here, stay tuned...

Fire Prevention Week, pt. 2

Every year when the Baltimore City Fire Department come to visit, they demonstrate how they don their protective gear and then allow the children to have a walk through the fire truck.

The firemen even allowed the children to become familiar with some equipment.

Fire Truck Day

We had a brief visit from the Baltimore City Fire Department on Friday October 14, 2011.

The firefighters (bomberos in Spanish) talked about fire (fuego in Spanish) prevention and they even demonstrated how to use a smoke detector. The children listened to the alarm (alarma in Spanish) and were asked if they had a working one at home. The fire department will come to your home and install a smoke detector if you need one.

Trip Money

You may begin paying on the trip to the pumpkin farm now. The trip is in October. We are announcing this now because this is a school-wide trip and those who do not attend will have to stay home. All teachers attend this outing as part of the project to follow.

There is a sign up sheet in the office.

IDENTAKID PHOTOS

Identakid photos will be taken for those who missed the original date. On Friday September 30, 2011 there will be a make-up shoot. Please get applications from the office and have payment ready for your make up date. Have your child here by 8:30 am.

Back to School Night

Back to School Night

Please mark your calendars so you may attend and speak with your child's teacher.

Again, we will close at 5:00 pm the night of the back to school Parent-Teacher night.
