If you have been looking at the news and perhaps have looked outside this morning, you will understand why we have chosen to close the nursery school today.
Please try to enjoy the day in spite of the weather.
Today's conference is cancelled and will be rescheduled for next Wednesday, weather permitting. As for Thursday and Friday, we'll play it be ear according to the weather forecast.
Parents, do to the impending snow storm, we will be closing at 3:00 p.m. today. For further information see WMAR 2 and WJZ 13 and check under school closings.
Black history Month is approaching and to give you an idea for a family outing, how about the World Trade Building Observation Level or the Reginald F. Lewis Museum? When considering a Black History figure for your child's report, how about thinking locally? We have so many prominent black leaders who have served our city.
Don't stop here, but that is just food for thought.
Happy New Year to everyone. I pray this year is all you want it to be. If you made any resolutions, do not be discouraged if you fall off track, just get back in line and continue on. Creating new habits may take a while and we sometimes fall back into our old ways of doing things. Write your goals or resolutions down and place them somewhere you can see them and be reminded of the change you want to make or the new habits you want to create.
Use your smartphone as a tool to help keep you organized. They have calendars, alarm clocks and loads of apps to help you get off to a good start. Another resource is the web; find websites related to your area of change and go do it!
