HARVEST PROGRAM

For the harvest program on Friday, we would like for each of our children to wear something ORANGE and since the RAVENS have a bye this week it is okay if they do not wear their RAVENS gear.

Now, If you can work it out to wear your RAVENS gear and something ORANGE, Great!!!

Pumpkin Decorating

After our trip to the pumpkin farm, each class decorated a pumpkin to be voted on. Look below to see how each turned out. Our teachers are soooo creative!

Purple Fridays

Fridays around here are PURPLE!!!

This Friday we want to photograph our children in their RAVENS gear and post it on WJZ's website.  If you are in agreement, send your child in any team color or item to represent the RAVENS.

Our fire truck visit happened to fall on a Friday, so here are some of us showing our RAVENS team spirit!!!

Our Challenge is for the entire daycare to be dressed in RAVEN gear every Friday...will you accept?

Pumpkin Farm Trip

Just a reminder:
Trip Thursday, October 21, 2010
Time:  9:30 - 1:00

Please dress your children warmly when they go to the Pumpkin Farm.

Do Not wear new clothes, it
may be muddy that day. We                                  are going to a FARM!!!

Bring 2 double bags to carry pumpkins.

The temp for Thursday is supposed to be dry and 69 degrees.  It is always good to be prepared :).

Fire Prevention Week

For fire prevention week we had the Baltimore City Fire Department come and demonstrate and talk to the children about fire safety.

Firefighter Shields will demonstrate to the children...

When someone is on fire, First, we STOP!

Then we DROP!

And ROLL!!!

Until the fire is out and the person is safe.
Thank you to:
Firefighter/Paramedic Eric McDonald
Firefighter, Selwyn Shields
EVD, Gary Nelson
Lt. Ken McNeill
from ENGINE 12 (as seen below)

Emergency Vehicle Driver, Gary Nelson in full rescue gear.

This is what you would see a fighter wear in a real fire rescue situation...

If the building is smokey and you need to rescued, they will crawl around to find you and bring you to safety.

The children all gathered around to see a real firefighter... He wanted to assure them to not be afraid of the gear and that he is a friendly guy :).
